Vision Boards are an INCREDIBLE tool to help you manifest your dreams. They are not as complicated as people may think, but there are a few specific things you can do to make your vision board REALLY work for you.

BUT FIRST,

WHAT IS A VISION BOARD AND WHY DOES IT WORK?

A vision board is simply a tool to help you FOCUS on what you want. By collecting and displaying images and phrases that represent your goals on a board and looking at them daily, you are helping to stir the emotion necessary to attract and eventually create your dreams. What you focus on grows. A vision board will help you focus, simple as that.

#1 MAKE YOUR VISION BOARD THE RIGHT SIZE

Your mind likes to see things in a way that keeps them contained. If your vision board is WAY TOO BIG ( like a whole wall), it's harder for your brain to focus. Likewise, Keeping things framed in can be super helpful. You don't need an expensive pin board to get started, if you have some painters tape, simply tape off a square on the wall and start putting up images. The sooner you start, the sooner you will see results, you can always move your images over to something cute, later.

#2 HANG YOUR VISION BOARD IN THE RIGHT SPOT

This is more important than it may seem. Where you keep your vision board will tell your brain a LOT, and your brain will respond accordingly. Put your vision board in your closet and you are telling your subconscious "I'm ashamed of my dreams, so I'm hiding them in my closet". Hang your vision board above your night stand where it's on display and where you see it often and you will likely get results much faster.

#3 DECIDE WHAT YOU REALLY WANT

If you haven't already written a list of goals and dreams, sit down and make one. Not sure what you want? Start by writing down what you don't want. This should give you an idea of what you DO want. Try to keep your number of goals below 10, to keep things simple (don't worry you will be able to take them down and put new ones up as you accomplish them). I Use these 9 categories on my vision board: Relationships, Money, Health, Education, Accomplishment (work), Family, Travel, Spirituality, Habits. You can use these or anything else that works for you personally. Your brain likes images and words, so do both! You can print from your computer, pull from magazines or even draw your own pics. Just be sure to pick images that stir positive emotion for you. That is key.

#4 USE YOUR VISION BOARD EVERY SINGLE DAY

We all have blocks about certain areas of our lives, which is why we don't have everything we want right this minute. Looking at your vision board daily will help you break down those blocks and allow those things to come to you. The more often you look at it, the quicker the results. The bigger the block, the more you need to look at it and visualize yourself having it. My vision board often helps me identify areas of my life that need a bit more work. Some goals will come down within a few weeks, others may take years. That is normal, and it's perfectly fine. Take 3 minutes to REALLY imagine yourself having these dreams on your vision board every morning and 3 minutes just before bed at night for the best results.

*If you are traveling, take a photo of your vision board so you can still look at it while you are away from home*

#5 KEEP A "VISION BOARD SUCCESS" JOURNAL

This is my favorite step. Whenever you pull something off your vision board, tape it into a journal and write about how you got there. This is something you can look back on when you are feeling discouraged, for a boost of motivation and also to help you remember how far you've come. My vision board has become a priceless tool in helping me reach my goals. Give it a try! I think you'll love it too. 💕
